Here are a few pictures from our wedding on Oct 27.  The top picture should go down in history.  Its a rare shot of Aunt Betty and I on the dance floor.  We managed to get through it without any damage.  Aunt Betty subsituted for my mom and Lisa's Aunt Judy substituted for hers.  We also managed to pull one on Lisa's father.  As they were finishing their father/daughter dance, we had the band start up 'The Twist'.  In his younger days he enjoyed that, and he didn't miss a beat.  The other picture is Kirk (Jessica's husband), Carrie and Russell (Christy's boyfriend).

Everyone else is doing well ...Riley is running Jess and Kirk wild (Jess now thinks her middle name is 'Get Down'.  Stacy and Brett are doing well.  Carrie started a new job doing drug rehab in Champaign and Christy is finishing up at Kendall.

We're having Christmas Eve this year, and going to Indiana on the Saturday after Christmas to see Lisa's family. They all live near Kentland, which is pretty much in the middle of nowhere.  We hope everyone has a great Christmas and a great 2013.

Some good news - Sept 21

Here is the latest picture of Riley ..she'll be 19 months old on the 27th.  Shes doing great and for sure has the heitzefeitz gene ...following in the footsteps of Kurt, Christy, and Andrew.  She's a bundle of energy and a lot of fun and doing a great job running her parents ragged.

Now for some more news ..I'll be taking the big step next month (on the 27th) and changing my income tax status.  We met back in April and things have been going well and we decided to make it permanent.  Lisa is from Lombard, and actually lives about 3 blocks from the place on Woodrow.   Needless to say I'm thrilled.  We'll be getting married on the 27th at the American Legion Hall in Carol Stream.  Its at 6:00 on the 27th.  If anyone is going to be in town, it would be great to see you.  After the wedding we'll be going to Padre Island since the owners meeting is that week.

Here is a picture of us taken a couple of weeks ago.  She has 2 sons ages 28 and 25 and a daughter (named Jessica) who is 21.  She works as a physical therapist in a nursing home and of course is a Sox fan.  Her dad lives in Indiana in a suburb of the middle of nowhere, and more relatives than I can count.

Everyone else is doing well, Christy should be finishing up at Kendall in December and were all looking forward to seeing whats next for her.  Check out her web site at 'simplyplated.tumblr.com' when you have a chance.  The mayor was visiting her school a while back and Christy had a chance to meet him and her picture was on the Kendall web site ..she said it was because she was the only student shorter than him so and they wanted him to look taller.

I hope everyone is doing well ....and hint hint ..it would be great to see some more postings on here.

York High School yearbook

This is half of the sophomore class of York High School in 1946. Mary Ann is seated in the second row and sixth from the left. Notice how all the girls are wearing skirts and many have "bobby sox" and penny loafers. The boys all have collared shirts. Styles were different then. One lady who saw the pictures also noted the pompadore hair styles.
This is half of the junior class of 1946. Carl is the fifth from the left on the back row. His hair style took hours (according to Mary Ann) to achieve just the right flip. She loved to tease him about that. I like the divide between him and the girls. Was that back row guys the gang of five or six that might have been involved in the Glenbard bleacher episode? Of course the guys on the front row have on white sox with their penny loafers, too..
These pictures were posted on the Ancestry website from the Y's Tales from 1946. There is a list of all the students on the picture online. Ancestry also has an index of the birth certificates for both. It is amazing what is flying around in cyber space.
